In addition to warmer temps, blooming trees, and my birthday in April, spring brings with it one of my favorite annual events, The Fabulous Fifties Show. I'm a sucker for good music, dancing, and hanging out with some of the most talented people I know. I've been participating in this show since I was just 12 years old (that was 1998) and have loved it ever since. The show is basically a concert centered around a funny play. The comedy is cute and very family friendly, and the local singers and musicians are awesome! If you live anywhere in Middle Tennesse or Northern Alabama, you should come join us for a performance. Doing so will not only provide entertainment, but will help to raise funds to support local cancer patients. All funds benefit the Multi-County Cancer Support Network (MCCSN). The MCCSN provides financial aid to cancer patients and families of cancer patients to help offset the cost of treatment including paying bills, buying gas for travel, helping with lodging, and just about anything else that a patient or the family would need. Everyone involved in the show participates on a volunteer basis and much of the equipment used is owned by the participants or borrowed. This means that virtually all of the funds raised help people directly.
This year's show is March 15, 17, 18, 19, 25, and 26. Shows begin at 7 every night and we do a 1:30 performance on both Saturday afternoons. It looks like it's going to be a great show, so come join us and have a great time! Ticket outlet information is available at the link above and if you are not from Fayetteville, e-mail me or post a comment and I'll get your tickets to you.
